Granville Road in Blackpool has been closed overnight after the fire service attended reports of a 'dangerous structure'
Emergency services were seen at a residential address on Monday night, following reports of an 'unstable' building.
The building with a potentially unsafe section is located on Granville Road. Eyewitnesses at the scene could see a number of police cars and a fire engine present from last night and through to this morning. On the street, the building was cordoned off and the road had been closed while investigations were underway. Individuals on the scene stated it was hard to see where investigations were focused but police confirmed they were looking at a 'potentially unstable gable end' on one of the buildings.A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We attended to reports of a dangerous structure on Granville Road, Blackpool.
A spokesperson for Blackpool Council said: "The area is fenced off due to a potentially unstable gable end on a building on Granville Road. We are waiting for an assessment from a structural engineer before the restrictions can be lifted."
