A person has been 'recovered' from the sea in Blackpool following a major emergency service response.
Police, the coastguard and paramedics were called to the area near Central Pier following 'concerns for a person reported entering the water'. HM Coastguard Fleetwood said they were alerted by Lancashire Constabulary at 10.15pm on Thursday . The team attended the scene with both rescue vehicles and were supported by HM Coastguard Lytham and RNLI Blackpool. .In a statement on Facebook, a HM Coastguard Fleetwood spokesperson said: "Team paged at 22:15 to assist the police with concerns for a person reported entering the water near Central Pier.
