Michael Downin, from Fleetwood, died after a crash on Blackpool Road near Poulton-le-Fylde
Emergency services were called to Blackpool Road near Poulton-le-Fylde following reports of a collision at around 12.15pm on Wednesday, February 28. Michael Downing, from Fleetwood, was driving a Vauxhall Corsa when it collided with a parked Range Rover Evoque.
The 33-year-old was taken to hospital but sadly died later. Following his death, Michael's family have paid an emotional tribute to him, as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.The family said: "Michael was well liked, quick-witted, decent, and loved very much. He will be missed by anybody who knew him."
In an update today , Lancashire Constabulary said officers investigating the collision are continuing to appeal for witnesses and for dash cam and CCTV footage from Blackpool Road around the time of the collision. A spokesperson said: "In particular we want to hear from the driver of a white car, possibly a Nissan Qashqai or similar, which was in the area at the time of the collision as they may have information which could assist."
