Bottled water stations are being set up for those who have lost their supply in Hampshire.
More than 18,000 homes in a village are without water or experiencing low pressure after Storm Ciaran led to a supply works being shut down.
Southern Water said water levels and quality after the storm had made it "extremely difficult for us to abstract water and treat it for drinking". It added: "Our teams are working around the clock to get our Testwood site back working as soon as possible, as storm water levels fall and water quality improves."
