An amber weather warning is in place from late evening Wed Nov 1 until 1pm Thu Nov 2.
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Storm Ciaràn, the third named storm of the season, is already showing its teeth on the south-west coast of England – but the weather will be getting a lot worse in the next few days. Tomorrow, two separate amber warnings are in place for wind in the far south, while yellow warnings for wind and rain are scattered around the rest of the UK.
By the early afternoon, the wind appears to be revolving around a central point somewhere in Lincolnshire. The Met Office’s two amber warnings for tomorrow focus on Devon and Cornwall at one side of the country, and the south-east coast including Portsmouth, Brighton, Kent and the Isle of Wight at the other side.
