A chippy in Nottinghamshire is in the running for the best fish and chip takeaway in the UK after the Top 40 contenders were slashed by half. As part of the judging process in the National Fish and Chip Awards, there has been intense assessment to draw up the shortlist.
It has recently had a makeover to make it more modern and has made improvements behind the scenes to make the food and service even better. The chippy posted on social media: "Making dreams a reality… We’ve made it to TOP 20!! Unbelievably proud, a remarkable achievement for our team & all 20 finalists. Congratulations to everyone here at Angell's, we have such high expectations and they carry it with pride.
