It's oh-fish-ial: a Greater Manchester chippy has been named one of the country's best
A chippy in Greater Manchester has been given the prestigious honour of being named one of the best fish and chips shops in the country.
While the Town Street Fryer in Marple Bridge, Stockport, made it into the top 40, it has not progressed further in the shortlist. However, Chips @ No.8 in Prestwich is still in the running. “It was a great experience and we’re stronger for it. We know what we have to do now to improve and we’re already working hard to deliver an even greater experience. I know we’re banging out some of the best fish and chips in the country.”
