UKFast founder Lawrence Jones, 55, denies two counts of rape
A woman who alleged she was drugged and raped by Lawrence Jones tearfully told a jury she may have been 'naive' to go back to his flat but that the impact 'has affected the rest of my life'.
Mr Jones, of Brooks Drive in Hale Barns, denies drugging and raping two young women at his flat in Salford in 1993. The prosecution say he 'stupefied' the women with unknown drugs before attacking them on separate occasions. After a short break to compose herself, Woman A told the jury of six men and six women her plan was to have a ‘quick drink’ and then get a taxi home.“That’s not true,” said the woman.
Woman A said she was ‘pretty sure’ her top had been taken off and recalled a ‘grey outline of him over me’. The woman said she remembered having a glass of wine and then needing to go to the toilet, and that she recalled a ‘flash’ memory of her being on the toilet.
