UKFast founder Lawrence Jones, 55, denies two charges of rape
The founder of tech firm UKFast Lawrence Jones is back in court for day two of a trial in which he's accused of raping two young women at his flat in Salford in the 1990s. Mr Jones, of Brooks Drive in Hale Barns, 55, denies two counts of rape.
The second rape count alleges he had sex with another woman between a date in 1993 and another in 1994 knowing she did not consent or being reckless as to whether she consented. The jury of six men and six women were told that in 2020 and 2021 the two women came forward to make separate allegations of rape against the defendant.Ms Marshall said it was the Crown's case that the defendant 'used drugs to facilitate' the alleged rapes.
