A bioinformatics postdoctoral scholar position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Hari Yalamanchili at the Neurological Research Institute , Baylor College of Medicine. We seek a passion driven scientist with strong quantitative background and expertise in developing and applying computational models to study the fundamental and translational aspects of human diseases.
Specifically, to decode cryptic splicing, alternative polyadenylation and gene regulatory networks in neurological disorders. Advancing RNA centric therapeutic approaches using data driven integrative machine learning techniques. The Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute foster a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment to understand the genetic causes of various pediatric and adult neurological diseases and translate to novel therapeutic strategies.
