Liam Gallagher has received a blue plaque at a Lidl store in Greater Manchester - yes, really
A supermarket in Greater Manchester has given Liam Gallagher a blue plaque after he said he would be up for performing a gig in Lidl .
But, now, ahead of Liam’s big shows at Co-op Live this weekend, it appears Lidl are still keen to extend the invite for the singer to rock up and perform an impromptu gig at one of the supermarket’s stores.Lidl has today unveiled a blue plaque at its store in Newton Heath - which is the chain’s nearest supermarket to the Eastlands music venue. The plaque is simply emblazoned: “LIAM GALLAGHER, LEGEND ‘ALMOST PLAYED HERE’ JUNE 2024.
On Saturday and Sunday night , Liam will bring his Definitely Maybe 30 Years tour to Co-op Live. The tour, which is supported by fellow Britpop band Cast, has been well-received since kicking off in London last week.
