Chef Dan McGeorge is returning to his hometown
A Liverpool-born chef and Great British Menu winner is returning to his hometown to open a new restaurant.
To be situated in a beautiful Grade-II listed building on Hope Street, Liverpool city centre, Vetch will offer a tasting menu, while the award-winning chef said it has "always been his dream to open his very own restaurant in the city".Chef Ben Mounsey: 'We want things to stand out' as Wirral venue gets menu overhaul
After building a strong team, he successfully fused modern British cooking with classical French techniques, which saw him attain three AA rosettes for culinary excellence for Rothay Manor in January 2019, which he retained until his departure last year. When Dan left Rothay Manor, he said: "This has been a difficult decision to make, however the time is right for me to move on and focus on future projects. Over the last six years at Rothay I’ve been fortunate to have had a hard-working, focussed and dedicated team of chefs at my side.
