The family of a woman stabbed at a house in Leeds have released a photo of her as the teenager accused of her murder appeared in court.
The 17-year-old - who cannot be named for legal reasons - made his first appearance at Leeds Crown Court over a video link from HMP Wetherby on Friday. He was told he will be standing trial from April 15 next year. It is expected the trial could last a week. He is accused of murdering Mandy Barnett, 60, at an address in Prince Edward Grove, Farnley on Monday, October 23.West Yorkshire Police say they attended at the property after receiving a report from the ambulance service that they were at the scene treating a woman for stab wounds.He was told the case was adjourned for issues to be resolved before a plea, trial and preparation hearing on November 24. His Honour Judge Tom Bayliss KC remanded him into custody.
