A dinosaur superfan managed to convince his horrified wife to spend £27,000 transforming their garden into their very own Jurassic Park - complete with a six-foot T-rex and flying pterodactyls. Mark Kitchen first began his dinosaur collection five years ago after spotting a life-size velociraptor in his local garden centre.
Mark, who fondly calls his lawn 'Jurassic Mark', admits his one-of-a-kind garden has cost him a whopping £27,000 - but says he 'works hard' to fulfil his expensive hobby. Mark said: "The garden was a blank canvas and I've always wanted to have tropical plants so I started with two palm trees in the corner and it just developed from there.
Mark said his dinosaur haven has grown in size over the years - and receives nothing but praise from guests brave enough to visit. Mark said: "After buying one, it just went from there. We have seven in the garden now, including a T-rex, two velociraptor, a galaposaurus and a pterodactyl-like one hanging from the tree.
