A company accountant's claim for wrongful dismissal is thrown out after the TimeCamp computer programme installed on her laptop reveals discrepancies and she admits on video she"plugged time to files" she did not touch and was"really sorry".A women in Canada has been ordered by a civil tribunal to pay damages to her former employer for"time theft" after she was caught claiming for unworked hours by tracking software.
The firm said it found Ms Besse had recorded more than 50 hours on her timesheets that"did not appear to have spent on work-related tasks". Ms Besse said she found the software difficult to use and could not get it to differentiate between work and personal use.But the company showed how Timecamp could distinguish between the two, such as if it had been used to access streaming services like Disney+ and for how long.
