Hoods and masks are increasingly common on city streets
Every time I step outside the office, I spot balaclava or mask-clad young people, loitering in corners, or walking too close to me.
The narrow walkway where the Broadmarsh shopping centre once stood doesn't help, but even in more wide-open spaces I find this is happening more and more. Brazen thugs like these think it's acceptable to behave like this around the rest of us nowadays, while we have to have our wits about us in case we become caught up in it. A passer-by was actually caught up in the machete fight, and had to be bundled into the Contemporary.
