The forward-thinking star has admitted to some big game nerves as he settles into life in Scotland.

Yang Hyun-jun has told Celtic they haven't seen the best of him yet as he admits European action left him nervous.

The South Korean forward arrived at the Premiership champions during the summer window and while showing in glimpses his potential, has yet to get off the mark in front of goal. He got 30 minutes of the Champions League Group E opener against Feyenoord - a 2-0 defeat - before being thrown in from the start against Lazio at Parkhead.

He lasted an hour in a heartbreaking 2-1 loss for Brendan Rodgers side, who suffered defeat off a 95th minute Pedro header. Yang was asked about how the experience in Europe was for him and admitted that while it was a major privilege, he admits nerves played their part in his performance, as he opened up on Scottish transitions. He told Celtic TV: "I don't think there's any difficulty getting used to life in Scotland.

"But if I had to pick one, it would be the language. Since I'm not good at speaking English, there is a language barrier when I'm trying to communicate with other players on the team. Other than that I have no problems. The speed of Scottish teams transitions from attack to defence or vice-versa is way quicker than Korean teams. Also, defenders here are a lot more physical.

"It was such an honour to play in the Champions League. It's a shame that I couldn't show all of my ability as I was feeling a bit nervous since it was such a big game. The main team objective is to win the Premiership. My personal objective is to score my first goal and be of help to the team."
