EXCLUSIVE: Samantha Chawner found fame after she and sister Emma appeared on The X Factor – now she's shared her wedding day with OK! and revealed how she shed 10 stone
As Samantha Chawner walked down the aisle to marry fiancé, Matthew Parkinson, the strains of Shania Twain’s From This Moment On filling her ears, she was overwhelmed with emotion.
Samantha, the eldest daughter of the notorious Chawner family became known after her sister Emma, now 34, auditioned for The X Factor in 2007, singing Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On. Simon Cowell branded her a “flump” and said she sang like a baby. Then followed The Chawners Last Chance and an appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show after Audrey walked out on the family.
Matthew, 39, said: “I really liked Sam as soon as we started talking online. She’s such a kind, honest person and we felt comfortable.” “My family weren’t happy about me moving out, but I had to do it for my own future,” she said. “Matthew makes me happy.”
