The walkway across the River Braan will re-connect the A9 underpass at Dunkeld and the Inver Road
Work is set to get under way today to reinstate a Highland Perthshire pedestrian footbridge that was washed away during Storm Babet.Perth and Kinross Council is working with Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland and the National Trust for Scotland to complete the project “in the coming weeks”.
In addition to signage that has been erected around the site of the damaged path and footbridge, warning signs and speed limit restrictions have already been placed on the A9. In order for school pupils who would normally use the damaged footway to get to and from school safely, PKC has instigated school transport for any school children which will be in place until the works are completed.
