CLEVELAND, Ohio — White Sox players know how important their final four meetings with the Guardians are if they want to remain in the hunt for the American League Central Division title, but veteran shortstop Elvis Andrus might have provided Cleveland’s clubhouse with some extra inspiration prior to Thursday’s game at Progressive Field.to the Rockies, said the White Sox are confident the Guardians are the ones feeling pressure in the playoff chase.

Guardians president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti said he doesn’t have access to social media, but he is aware of Andrus’ comments. “From the beginning of the season, we’ve tried to continue to tune out when any of the outside dialogue has been about our team and just focus on what we can control,” Antonetti said. “That sounds redundant at this point, but we’re preparing to win ’s game. That’s what I’m focused on. I know that’s what Tito is focused on and our players are focused on. The rest of it is just outside noise.”
