The two formed a fast friendship thanks to their similar interests, and Fitch followed Manziel to Texas A&M University once the latter was recruited to play quarterback. Manziel's talent on the field earned him the Heisman Trophy as a freshman , and turned him from a college athlete into a huge sensation.
