Manziel’s study habits -- or lack thereof -- came as no surprise to the star quarterback’s early supporters, who were also interviewed for the film.

The Browns either never heard about those antics or were not worried about them. Same goes for a shirtless incident where Manziel was visibly intoxicated on a golf course by the fifth hole, which allegedly scared the Texans from picking him first overall. And during Cleveland’s pre-draft visit with Manziel, the Browns either didn’t know or were not concerned by the fact that Manziel allegedly threw to his lawyer and Burkhardt during workouts.
The receivers, Burkhardt said, were either missing or too drunk to perform that morning after partying with Manziel the night before. But the Browns left that meeting impressed enough to pick Manziel 22nd overall.The more we learn about Manziel’s history, the more embarrassing those words sound. They turned Farmer, now a scouting consultant for the Rams, into one of many faces of Cleveland’s failures.
