A charity that provides a catering and companionship service at the hospital is appealing for Buddies to help out.
Not everybody assisting patients at Paisley ’s Royal Alexandra Hospital is an employee - some choose to volunteer their free time to help strangers within.
But the charity says it needs more people to get behind the wheels of its iconic hospital trolley, which is a vital service for patients who can’t make it to the hospital shop, or who may not be visited by anyone else that day.
