Latest Nottingham Forest news as Odysseas Vlachodimos discusses joining the Reds and Manchester United interest
Goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos says the decision to move to Nottingham Forest in the summer was an easy one to make, despite being wanted by Manchester United.
“This is also one of the main reasons why I chose to come to Nottingham Forest,” he told Greek website Gazzetta in a translated interview. “I want to gain experience in the top league in the world, become a better goalkeeper and then see what else I can achieve. The shot-stopper spent five years with Benfica, following his switch from Panathinaikos in 2018. He made 225 appearances for the club and won two league titles, but he felt the time had come to move on.
