Lucas Richardson avoided a jail term for swapping private pictures of his then-girlfriend engaged in sex acts over Snapchat.
A young woman whose law student boyfriend traded her explicit photos on Snapchat said she was “devastated” after he avoided being put on the sex offenders register.
The sheriff didn’t add him to the register after deciding his conduct was due to “immaturity and stupidity” rather than a desire for “sexual gratification”. But the woman was left horrified after finding out Richardson had traded them without her permission. Fiscal depute Klaudia Wasilewska told the court on Thursday that Richardson’s swapping of images showed an “underlying sexually deviant purpose”.
