Light showers, high-elevation snow and gusty conditions are all in the forecast this week, but some respite is on the way.

As a low-pressure system makes its way across the North Bay and into San Francisco on Sunday, most parts of the Bay Area will see just a few hundredths of an inch of rain, while the coastal mountains of Sonoma County could experience up to a tenth of an inch. “We could still see some light pop-up showers in the afternoon on Monday and Tuesday, and we’re keeping our eye out on whether or not those could potentially have some small thunderstorms,” Bingaman said, noting that the highest chances for thunderstorm activity would be in the North Bay and the East Bay.
At 5 am it was 49 degrees in downtown San Francisco. Not surprising that the buoys are reporting similar sea surface temps. Record low for today is 46 way back in 1898. Its possible that cold rain showers later on could drag some colder air down.
