“Our bullpen is so taxed and he’s the one that we need out there to kind of save the bullpen,” Francona said. “He can go multiple and we talked to him. But again, talk about easy to root for. He told me, he goes, ‘I’m always good ’. And he is.” “What’s interesting is that is a very valuable role,” Harris said. “Someone who can come into the game and whether it be multiple positions like Fry or multiple pitching roles in Curry’s case, that’s important.”
“We knew he can play in the infield, but he’s primarily a catcher,” Harris said. “We acquired him as a catcher. We sent him out as a catcher, but then there were things that happened whether there were injuries or players who got called up.”
