The overall maintenance of the building has cost £2 million over the last five years.
Utility bills at Nottingham City Council's headquarters are increasing as new figures show that the overall maintenance of the building has cost £2 million over the last five years. Energy costs alone have jumped by almost £100,000 in a year at Loxley House, based on Station Street, with one councillor now saying that Nottingham City Council should try and get more value out of it.
"Water is also delivered through a self supply arrangement which mitigates cost to the council." The figures were given after Councillor Kevin Clarke, the Leader of the Nottingham Independents and Independent Group at Nottingham City Council, first raised a question in September about the value of Loxley House, its running costs and how many were using it on a day-to-day basis.
