The UK Government has issued a warning advising British citizens to avoid all travel to Haiti due to ongoing violence and unrest in the country. Attacks on government buildings in the capital city, believed to be an attempt to remove the Prime Minister from power, have further escalated the situation. With no British consular officials in Haiti, the ability to provide assistance is severely limited.
Brits are being told to avoid all travel to the Caribbean country of Haiti . The UK Government has issued this warning due to ongoing violence and unrest in the country. Since February 29, there have been attacks on important government buildings in Port-au-Prince, the capital city. These attacks by gangs are believed to be an attempt to remove Prime Minister Ariel Henry from power. At present, there are no British consular officials in Haiti .
