One of the casualties had to be cut free from the wreckage of the vehicle by firefighters
Two people were taken to hospital with injuries following a road traffic collision in Lathom on Monday afternoon.
According to a report filed by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, two fire engines from Ormskirk attended the scene of a road traffic accident on Blythe Lane in Lathom shortly after 4pm. The incident, they said, involved a single vehicle. Firefighters had to remove one casualty from the vehicle using road traffic collision equipment. Two causalities were conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Fire crews remained at the scene for 90 minutes.
