Workday at Loch Katrine woodland is planned for later this month.
Volunteers are being sought to remove bracken from Trossachs land to help enhance a rare butterfly’s habitat.
By raking away the dead material during the winter months once the bracken has died down, sunlight will be able to reach the soil and stimulate the growth of Violet seeds in the ground. Butterfly Conservation Scotland conservation manager Anthony McCluskey said: “We all love seeing butterflies but over the last 3-4 decades, many species have become endangered, the PBF among them.
