Josh Tran hopes his two assists in Albion Rovers' win over St Andrews will earn him a regular spot in the team. He provided the assists for the opening and winning goals, securing a home tie in the next round. Tran aims to impress the manager in upcoming matches against Cowdenbeath and Cumbernauld Colts.

Josh Tran hopes providing the two assists that helped seal Albion Rovers place in the third round of the Scottish Cup can get him a regular run in the side.

Now with big Lowland League clashes against Cowdenbeath on Tuesday and a crunch clash with local rivals and joint-leaders Cumbernauld Colts on Saturday, Tran hopes he has done enough to convince boss Sandy Clark he should hold on to a starting spot. "Joe has got a wee bit of an injury with his ankle, a wee bit of bruising, so the gaffer gave me the go-ahead and said I would be in."We've got two big league games coming up this week and hopefully I can start Cowdenbeath on Tuesday, keep impressing, and hopefully be in at the weekend as well.Rovers are still playing catch-up in the Lowland League, sitting 19 points adrift of leaders East Kilbride and Colts, while also being three games behind.
