Olympic diver and TV personality was spotted in the studio audience of BBC Strictly Come Dancing last night.
Tom, who is also an advocate for gay rights, gave Annabel Croft and her dance partner Johannes Radebe a standing ovation for her performance. The former tennis pro and TV presenter dances the samba to 'Whenever, Wherever' by Colombian music star Shakira. The twice Olympic diving bronze medallist looked healthy in a black sleeveless top adorned with a red poppy in respect of Remembrance Day. Some fans have suggested the 29-year-old, originally from Plymouth, would make a worthy contestant on the BBC primetime fancy footwork show - especially paired with Johannes.One said: "Tom Daley watching Strictly. He would be amazing paired with Johannes.
Another viewer wrote: "Why is Tom Daley in the audience with a singlet on?" Another added: "Why is Tom Daley in the audience?"Still in the competition are eight couples: Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe, Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington, Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Krishnan Guru-Murphy and Lauren Oakley, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and Nigel Harman and Katya Jones.
Last week, Adam Thomas and his dance partner Luba Mushtuk were the sixth couple to be sent packing from the competition after what's been dubbed the 'closest dance off' yet. The 35 year old Waterloo Road star found himself in the dance-off against Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington. However, it was Angela who was saved by the judges, with Craig Revel Horwood admitting it was a "tough" decision.
