This weekend will see the start of Fur Rondy, two showings of “Alaskan Nets” and more events around Anchorage.
will be joined by two special guest artists from Portland, Oregon. Atlas and Flawless Shade are joining the show at The Cheeky Room for Fur Rondy. There will be a show on Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m., and a brunch show on Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $15-$24, and all shows are 21+.
Dogs leap before reaching the staring line. Twenty-six mushers began three days of racing in Fur Rendezvous Open World Championship Sled Dog Race in Anchorage on Friday, February 28, 2020. Kick off the start of Fur Rondy season by watching the sled dog sprints downtown. The sprints start at noon on Friday, Feb. 25 at Fourth Avenue and D Street and will continue through the weekend. Watch and cheer as mushers and their teams tear up the snow in competition for the $60,000 in prizes.
