For Philippe Clement and Rangers they will struggle to come close to the jackpot that Celtic will claim - even if they WIN the Europa League after dropping into the new-look league phase. After being crowned Scottish Premiership winners last season Celtic are guaranteed a spot in the league phase of the revamped Champions League format - and Brendan Rodgers will be rubbing his hands together at the financial boost that is on its way to Parkhead when their European football journey kicks off.
Clubs finishing in positions 1 to 8 will also net an extra £1.8m bonus with teams 9 to 16 grabbing an extra £857k, and if they can progress to the knockout round play-offs they will also earn an additional £857k.
