The tragic death of a teenage swimming instructor has left an incredible legacy - thanks to the efforts of her family. A memorial fund set up in the wake of the 19-year-old Mia Jennings' death will see the hearts of at least 1,000 young people screened.
Mia's mum Louise Jennings is preparing to run the London Marathon in Mia's memory in April. The latest fundraising effort in memory of Mia will see Lauren Parker, 29, a part-time bartender at the Jennings family's local pub, jump from a plane at 15,000ft today .Mum-of-one Lauren says she has "always wanted" to skydive, despite a fear of heights and flying, and says she has been inspired by the Jennings fundraising efforts.
James added: "It's unbelievable the amount of love and support there is around Broken Cross. We go for a drink in the Bulls Head, and that's been quite an important place for us since Mia passed, just as a place to go and have a quiet chill out as best we can."
