Tomball ISD announced Tara Bailey as the new principal at Timber Creek Elementary.
Bailey graduated from Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Education in 2001, earned a Master of Education from William Carey College two years later and received her Educational Leadership Certification from UH-Clear Lake in 2007.
“TCES can expect to have a leader that will treat them as her family,” Bailey said. “My love for my career extends to the families that make up the school community. I thrive on relationships and connections so that we can be the best that we can be while growing student leaders. I do so by listening, understanding, communicating, relating, and providing honesty. TCES can expect a passionate Principal.
TerriAnn Commesso was named the new assistant principal at Smith Elementary and Natashia Foglesong was named the new assistant principal at Williams Elementary. Katie Fields was named the new assistant principal at Ellisor Elementary and Josh Jacobs was named the new assistant principal at Bear Branch Junior High.
Fields earned a bachelor’s degree from the Stephen F. Austin State University, a Master’s in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M and has 17 years of education experience. She previously served as an assistant principal in Cy-Fair ISD, is a reading and language arts specialist and taught in elementary school .
The foundation donated $10,000 towards the program to bring in 750 students that took part in bounce houses, a book fair, and carnival-style games to win free books. According to Magnolia ISD, “the goal of the event is to encourage summer reading that will improve reading skills and increase the desire to read.”
