Motorists are being urged to take care amid the rain
As Storm Ciaran continues to bring huge downpours to parts of the UK, motorists are being warned they could face astronomical fines.
Experts at Quotezone.co.uk are urging drivers to use caution during the wet weather and to follow a number of rules. The Highway Code explicitly states motorists must not drive "without due care and attention" for pedestrians. Driving through puddles and splashing other road users may result in a fine of £100 and three penalty points on the licence.
