Payment dates will change for people due money on Good Friday or Easter Monday.
The Department for Work and Pensions has confirmed that scheduled payments due to be made between Good Friday and Easter Monday will instead arrive on Thursday, March 28. Easter is this Sunday, which means State Pension and benefit payments from DWP, HM Revenue and Customs or Social Security Scotland due between March 29 and April 1 will be affected.
Payments including State Pension, Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment , Child Benefits, Tax Credits and Adult Disability Payment due on Friday, March 29 or Monday, April 1 will land in bank accounts on March 28. It’s important to be aware that if your upcoming payment does not fall on either of the bank holidays it will be paid as normal.
If your benefit or payment is not listed, it will not be affected by the Easter bank holiday weekend.
