On Remembrance Day, the public is asked to not only pay tribute to the Armed Forces in Britain and the Commonwealth nations, but also the crucial roles played by the Emergency Services.
South Ayrshire Council has issued the dates, times and venues of Remembrance events that will be held this weekend.
“We often take our freedoms and liberties for granted, so I would encourage everyone to show their support by taking a few minutes to remember those who dedicated their lives to gift us all these freedoms. * Troon - War Memorial. Sunday, 10am - Parade musters at Troon Primary School for wreath laying at the War Memorial.* Ayr - War Memorial at junction of Low Road/Whitletts Road. Sunday, 10am – Dalmilling Church Service. 10.50am – Wreath laying at the War Memorial. * Alloway- War Memorial. Sunday, 11.15am - Alloway Parish Church. 12.30pm - Wreath laying at the War Memorial.
* Loans- War Memorial. Sunday, 10.30am- Short service in Scout Hall. 11am – Wreath laying at the War Memorial.* Monkton- War Memorial. Sunday, 10.50am. * Coylton- War Memorial. Sunday, 10am - Church Service followed by wreath laying at the War Memorial.* Kirkmichael- War Memorial. Sunday, 10.30am - Church Service. 11.20am - Wreath laying at the War Memorial.
