Petras believes that by council working together, “the city still has the ability to revitalize city parks, uplift the Oxford and Caledonia neighborhoods, rejuvenate Coventry and Taylor and finally redevelop Severance .” “I’m not looking for the Disneyland of swimming,” Gordon said, “just some things that make it easier for all people to enjoy water recreation.”” Committee-of-the-Whole meeting , where officials said that Cumberland may be “so far past deferred maintenance that repairs could leave it out of commission for a season.”

“We need to be delivering on the promise to residents and make it a reality, Hart said, adding that she plans to bring the matter up at the next joint meeting of the school board, both city councils and the Heights Library board., with Gordon saying that she finds the city “separated and disconnected” from the school district. She and Larson said they liked the joint meetings and expressed disappointment they have not continued.
