Could you be paying less?
Millions of internet customers face being hit by price hikes from today As household bills continue to climb, it’s tempting to stick your head in the sand. But there’s a simple money-saving tip all households can do to make sure you’re getting enough bang for your buck. From today, millions of UK customers face being hit by more price hikes by internet firms including BT, EE, Virgin Media and Sky, with some bills increasing by over 8% from the start of April.
Next, get in contact with your internet provider. If you politely inform them you’re thinking of leaving, they could offer you a deal to stay. Finally, double-check your broadband speed against how much you’re likely to use each month. Super-fast WiFi can be expensive, but you might not need it. If you’re only using your internet to browse, 5-10 Mbps is enough. For video calls and HD streaming, you’ll need closer to 10-20 Mbps.
