Tucked away in the grounds of a manor house is a secret garden that's usually closed to the public. Poulton Hall , in Wirral , is a historic manor house with parts that date back to the 1650s. It overlooks a beautiful three-acre garden with velvety lawns, wildflower meadows and a stunning walled garden. The gardens are only open to the public on select days of the year.
They are available for hire for private events, but Poulton Hall also participates in the National Garden Scheme, which sees more than 3,500 private gardens across the country opening their gates to visitors on set dates, either by arrangement or on open days.
