Alperen Sengun will be back on the court for the Rockets against Miami and should get some good tests from the Heat centers.With the Rockets running out of dress rehearsal opportunities, and coming off a pair of home routs, they could get a good test in Miami.
“We have a major test tomorrow,” Rockets assistant coach John Lucas said after running Sunday’s practice withfrom health and safety protocols. “Miami is really playing well. Close to their last preseason game so I expect them to play a lot of their players a long time.” The minutes he and Yurtseven share will be of great interest back home, even if not the first for them in the NBA and just a preseason game. But for Sengun and the Rockets, going against second team All-Defensive team center Bam Adebayo will be an outstanding test of running parts of the Rockets’ offense through their second-year center.
“ better get a good night’s rest because he’s going to have to be running to keep up with Bam,” Lucas said. “We’ll do some things differently with that matchup. We’re anxious to see how Al-P does. We’re asking a 20-year-old to sacrifice. We all know what Al-P does when we play through him a lot more.
