The captain will lead United into battle at Firhill tonight, as Ayr look to make it four wins on the bounce away from home.
The United skipper insists their disappointing Somerset record has to change. Morton were the latest to profit with George Oakley’s late winner on Saturday, consigning Ayr to a fifth home defeat on the bounce in all competitions.
He said: “We’ve just had some really good wins away from home but you’ve got to back that up by winning your home games. We’ve not been good enough here this season and I’m not really sure why that is. “There were still a lot of positive things from the game but we got sucker punched from a set play which we’d worked on all week. They stuck to what they’re good at so fair play to them but we have to move on quickly now.”
