Emergency services are on the scene
on St George's Road, near to Bolton town centre, due to the ongoing collision, involving an Audi and Stagecoach bus.
The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours as police and fire crews continue to deal with the crash. The nature of any injuries sustained is not yet clear.There are currently diversions in place as emergency services continue to deal with the incident.A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just before 1.
"Firefighters rescued one person from the bus and transferred them into the care of colleagues from North West Ambulance Service. Crews made the scene safe and were in attendance for an hour and 45 minutes.”Firefighters are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision between a car and a double decker bus on St George's Road in Bolton. The road is closed in both directions and will remain closed for the next few hours. Please avoid the area.
