The fire broke out at 4am this morning
attended an address on Hillfoot Street around 4.00am, following reports of a fire.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that three firetrucks were sent to the scene to deal with the incident. An eyewitness who lives nearby said he woke up with"soot up his nose" as they were evacuated from the building and crews left the building after around 20 minutes. On a picture sent to the Glasgow Times, nine firefighters can be seen after they cordoned off an area on the street, in front of a shop.The force has confirmed there were no casualties.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.00am on Monday 5 September to reports of a dwelling fire on Hillfoot Street, Glasgow."There were no casualties and crews left after ensuring the scene was made safe."
