Steven Davis says the chance to become Rangers interim manager "was too good an opportunity to turn down" as he vowed to "make the most of it".
The Northern Irish captain will take his first game in charge away to Aris Limassol in the Europa League on Thursday."I had a few conversations after receiving the offer, but made this decision very quickly. "There have been no conversations in terms of time frame," said Davis, who has played more than 350 games for the Glasgow club. "Obviously I have ambitions, I didn't expect this happen just as soon, but I'm determined to make the most of the opportunity I've been given."
