A number of zebra crossings in Blackpool will undergo a multi-coloured makeover
Rainbows have mysteriously appeared on zebra crossings in Blackpool overnight. The artwork appeared on the crossings on Dickson Road in the seaside town, adding a splash of colour for any morning commuters.
Not only have they worked hard on the new multi-coloured crossings on Dickson Road, but this evening will see further crossing transformations on Springfield Road - if the weather holds up. The colours painted underneath the usual black and white stripes are from the Progress Pride flag, celebrating inclusivity for the LGBTQ+ community.The makeovers are the first step in Blackpool Council's planned improvements to the area, dubbed 'Be Who You Want To Be'.
