Ut oh Sorry meal deal fans, this one from Maccas has just got a bit more spenny. McDonald’s fan have been fuming as the £1.99 Big Mac meal deal now costs £2.99. The offer is available when you fill out a survey on the chain’s Food for Thought website. To be able to access it, customers have to buy something from McDonald’s and make sure they keep the receipt because, within 60 days, they’ll need to type the 12-digit code into the website.
Still, fans of the old deal aren’t happy, with one taking to social media to quip: ‘My days of taking pictures of customers receipts with a zoom lens for a cheap lunch are all over…’ Another said: ‘£1.99 was good value. £2.99 is too much.’ However, even with this £1 price increase, diners are still saving money with this deal, since, for example, a Big Mac medium meal usually costs £5.29. However, that does also come with a drink, while the £2.99 meal does not.
